The amount involved in the judgement that led to FIFA's award to Brazilian defender Ricardo Nascimento in his case against crisis-laden DStv Premiership club Royal AM, has been disclosed.
Royal AM have been crippled by yet another transfer ban relating to Nascimento while also still reeling from the effects of another transfer ban in the case of Samir Nurkovic.

Just like Nurkovic, Nascimento won the case that he took up to FIFA after several months of unsuccessful attempts to find a solution to his litany of grievances contained his contract which included unpaid winning bonuses amongst others.
In simple terms, Royal AM failed to fulfil their contractual obligations.
Nurkovic's claim is in millions (rand value) having failed to receive a single cent from the two-year deal that he signed with an option of a third year and left without featuring in an official match.
Royal AM have chosen to pursue the financially straining CAS (Court of Arbitration for Sport) route.
With Nascimento, he was able to spend 15 months with the KwaZulu-Natal proving good value playing regularly.
The 36-year-old's departure from Royal AM came at the back of making 24 appearances (three goals and two assists) in the single full season that he spent at the club.
Nascimento will now do duty for Rio Branco Esporte Clube in the 2024 Campeonato Paulista – Serie A4, after agreeing to a short-term deal in November last year.
While he goes through pre-season in Brazil this website can confirm that the amount in question due to him is approximately R620 000 (considering the 5% per annum interest employed by FIFA in such cases).
The original claim which Royal AM have chosen not to pay is R600 000 (approx. USD31 500).

The latest transfer ban came into effect on Monday (January 15) with KICK OFF in possession of the judgement addressed to Royal AM and copied to SAFA and Nascimento's legal representative, Pedro Felipe Gomes da Silva, partner of RA Law firm based in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
In the letter it is stated that – 'in this regard we wish to inform the parties that a ban from registering new players internationally has been implemented by FIFA as of today'.
As is the norm with FIFA, Royal AM have 10 days to appeal the transfer ban while the financial award is final and binding.

For now, Royal AM, cannot make any signing during the January transfer window just like they were also not able to bring in new players at the beginning of the season.
