The tournament will be played from 15 February to 1 March.
In their final warm-up game, the national U17 team will play a friendly match against SAFA Port Elizabeth on Thursday, 5 February at Isaac Wolfson Stadium. Kick-off is scheduled for 15h00.
Amajimbos coach Molefi Ntseki said he expected a good crowd to come and watch the future stars in action. He requested schools and the general public to turn up for this high-tempo farewell game.
“We are finalising our preparations for this important tournament and the people of PE must give us a rousing goodbye. We are concluding most of our preparations this week before we head for Niamey, the capital city of Niger,” added coach Ntseki.
There are two changes to the 22-man squad enforced by the injury sustained by Thulani Dhladhla, who has been replaced by Riyaaz Ismali from Hellenic FC while Katlego Mtwisha has been replaced by striker Kobanelo Kodisang from the Platinum Stars Academy.
South Africa are in Group B with Ivory Coast, Mali and Cameroon while Group A consists of hosts Niger, Guinea, Nigeria and Zambia.
