The Mamelodi Sundowns winger is particularly excited about the prospect of combining with 18-year-old new addition Phakamani Mahlambi, who has shone for Bidvest Wits this season.
“Mahlambi is a great player, hey. Very quick. He was at the School of Excellence with me, so I know him well from there,” Dolly is quoted by Sowetan.
Dolly believes there is good chemistry between the attacking players in Owen da Gama’s squad, and feels it will serve them well as they look to get past a group containing Senegal, Zambia and Tunisia.
“We've got Siphelele Ntshangase who can hold the ball up for us. Him and I have a good understanding. I think we started clicking in the first camp against Egypt,” he says.
“And we have Riyaad Norodien as well, who's also got pace. I get excited when I see these players joining the camp, so jah, I'm excited for the tournament.”
South Africa open the tournament on Saturday against hosts Senegal.
