Owen da Gama’s side won 2-1 at the Sugar Ray Xulu Stadium, with Masuku getting on the score-sheet along with Keegan Dolly.
Masuku, who has rose to prominence this season, was delighted with the performance.
"That [getting to the Olympics] is the main goal for the Under-23s,” he told snl24.com/kickoff. "We have put ourselves in a good position as a team.
“I'm just grateful that the work I have put in is finally paying off. Also, the belief that I have in myself, I think it is showing up with the motivation I'm getting from the guys."
Masuku was clearly delighted after scoring his goal, taking off his shirt and running to the corner-flag to celebrate.
"It was a very emotional game and we were looking forward to winning the match," he says with a smile.
"I wasn't expecting to go all out crazy like that, but you know emotions are so very high when you playing such games.”
For these boys, there is still a long way to go. They will have to get past Zimbabwe at Rufaro stadium on the 19 July, which will be the first leg of the 8 Nations Tournament qualifiers.
The 8 Nations will be held in Senegal in late November, with the top three countries qualifying for the 2016 Olympics in Brazil.
