Molefi Ntseki sees positives in Chile game

This was the third time the two nations met as the hosts count down the days to the start of the 2015 FIFA Under-17 World Cup.

Chile were recently in South Africa as part of the farewell occasion for Amajimbos. They defeated South Africa 1-0 in Cape Town following a similar scoreline earlier that week.

“There are many positives that have come from this match,” Ntseki says. “Firstly, the boys did not concede, which is something we need going into the World Cup.

“Also, their level of confidence is also growing, which is another important aspect at this level of the game because to win any match and proceed to the knockout stages we will have to score goals.

“I am happy that the boys played the football we know and, based on that, I am confident that we will do well. We have one more friendly before we move to our base camp in Concepcion.”

Amajimbos will play New Zealand in their last practice match on Monday in Santiago.
