Rivaldo Coetzee warns national under-23 teammates not to get ahead of themselves

South Africa face the North African side in the semi-final at the Leopold Senghor Stadium in Dakar on Wednesday evening, with kick-of set for 20h30 (SA time).

The Ajax Cape Town hard man says the team know what is at stake, and has warned his colleagues not to become overwhelmed by the occassion but to focus instead on the task at hand.

The 19-year old is also aware that their history against North African opposition will not count for much, but says the team have prepared thoroughly for the Fennec Foxes.

In their opening ftwo ixtures against Senegal and Zambia, South Africa were left to play catch up and were lucky to complete a victory over their COSAFA rivals.

However, at this stahe of the competition, Coetzee admits that it would be extremely dangerous and foolish to allow the same scenarios to occur.

After being part of an unsuccesful Bafana Bafana at this year's AFCON finals, the North West-born defender has warned his teammates not to make the same mistakes as the senior team.
