The South Africa Under-23 international has almost been forgotten thanks to an ankle injury that has kept him out of action for five months, since early February, and says he has been training alone to regain his fitness.
“For the whole of July I will be taking things easy up until August. Even now I'm at the gym here in Polokwane and the pains are much better now,” Ntshangase tells snl24.com/kickoff.
“But as for going to the Olympics, that will be like a bonus for me if it does happen.”
Ntshangase says for now he hasn’t been approached by any PSL club despite long-running transfer speculation that he is set to join one of the ‘Big Three’.
“I’ll be lying if I say there are any offers that I know of,” he admits.
Leopards spokesperson Berry Ramunenyiwa says the player is expected to join up with his teammates for pre-season this week.
“We gave him leave so he could rest a bit, but he will be rejoining his teammates this week as we've already started with our preparations for next season,” says Ramunenyiwa.
