Former Kaizer Chief man Khama Billiat has opened up about his time with new side Yadah FC in the Castle Lager Premier League in Zimbabwe, where he is gradually rediscovering his top form.
The 33-year-old made a shock exit from Amakhosi at the start of the 2023/24 season after failing to agree on a new deal with the Soweto giants, and what followed was a series of links with several PSL teams, including a single training session with SuperSport United, according to head coach Gavin Hunt.

Billiat then joined Zimbabwean PSL side Yadah Stars ahead of their current campaign. Despite a poor start, he has gradually found his footing, netting six goals and making five assists in 10 matches so far.
Speaking to ZTN Prime, the attacker has opened up about his performance for Yadah and his new role as a leader in the team.
"It has been up and down, there are days that we don't want to remember and there are days that we look at and take the positives and work with them so we can be better.
"We have not reached where we want to. We are big dreamers, we see ourselves doing very very well. I don't think we are close to that and there is a lot of work we have to do," Billiat is quoted as saying.
"Scoring goals, it's always nice to be on the score sheet. but I'm more focused on the club and right now, I know if the club is doing very well, then everyone will be in a good position to score more goals.

"They like to say I'm a big player, but I'm very small when it comes to the game. I respect the game so much. I'm very close to the game. It requires effort like everything else. It requires working hard like everything else.
"They say I'm a leader, which I don't believe, I think I'm just like everyone else who needs to learn and grow in the game.
"But I like the challenge, I like to get better all the time, so I have to work hard. If they say I am a leader. then I have to lead by example," added the 33-year-old.
Yadah sit 14th in the standings, just one point above the relegation zone, having won four of their 17 matches. They will hope to make it two wins on the bounce when they host 17th-placed Hwange on Saturday.
