Bafana Bafana defender Siyabonga Ngezana is earning the benefits of playing in Europe as his value keeps moving on a steep northward direction.
Ngezana is in his second season at FCSB, where he has already won the league and the Romanian Super Cup since moving from Kaizer Chiefs.

Lifting the league has elevated the towering defender into Europe's premier club competition – the UEFA Champions League.
In this competition, FCSB – who were champions of Europe in 1986 – have moved into the third qualifying round with Czech club Sparta Prague their next opponents.
Ngezana will be on the flight to Prague, where the first leg will be played on Tuesday, with the return leg being played next week.
Should FCSB get past Sparta Prague, then they will go into the Play-Offs round, which determines the teams going into the group stages, while defeat will push them into the Europa League Play-Off round.
The Champions League Play-Offs round will be in the last two weeks of August, and should they get past that stage as well, the Champions' League group phase will be next with Real Madrid, Liverpool, Bayern Munich, Manchester City and Barcelona, amongst others, all waiting.

This Champions League path is what could potentially elevate Ngezana's transfer value to more than 10 times what Chiefs sold him for just a year ago.
The plus for Amakhosi is that they still hold a 10% sell-on, meaning they will still make money should Ngezana be sold to another club.
There has already been widespread interest in the 27-year-old, who is likely to move on from FCSB in the not-too-distant future.

Offers of as much as 5 million Euro (approx. R101 million) have reportedly been turned down by FCSB for a man that they only paid 600 000 Euro (approx. R12 million) for when getting him from Chiefs.
Ngezana has also broken into the Bafana Bafana squad, which will earn him further points in increasing his value.
