The reason why Pitso Mosimane has continued to be attractive to the Middle East and the Gulf region could have been revealed after his latest appointment at Esteghlal.
Mosimane's previous stint at Saudi side Abha Club was heavily reliant on results, as he was tasked with saving them from relegation.

As a result of the Bafana Bafana coach not being able to keep the club afloat in the Saudi Pro League, his short-term deal could not be renewed.
The 60-year-old also faced an almost similar result-oriented project at Al Ahli Saudi, where his mission was to promote the team to the top tier, and he eventually left after he was owed a series of salary payments.
However, although he will be expected to compete for honours at Esteghlal, Mosimane's immediate task will be to develop a new attacking philosophy, which made him stand out among other foreign coaches who were in the running for the job.
"What we expect is attacking football. Even in 2022 and last year when we lost out on the league with just one point, we got the result, but the fans were still not happy because the team was playing way defensively," Iranian journalist and club fan Erfan Hoseiny said on Radio 2000's Game On.
"After getting a goal, they would just sit back and try to get the three points. So, it's very important for Esteghlal and the fans that the club has a proper tactic, a proper plan to go forward and attack the opponent.
"The fans of Esteghlal are very loyal and very passionate about the club, they will back him until the very end," Hoseiny revealed.

Mosimane will be going back to his roots of laying a foundation of an attacking philosophy, which has kept former club Mamelodi Sundowns on top of the game four years after he departed for Al Ahly in Egypt.
Wydad Casablanca also admitted that they were attracted to former Rulani Mokwena due to the style of play of The Brazilians, which was revived and maintained by 'Jingles' after foreign coaches dismantled the famous 'Piano and Shoeshine'.
