Carlos 'Carlitos' Chimomole might have only lasted just a season in South Africa, but he left with a winners' medal and plenty memories.
Chimomole joined SuperSport United along with Elias 'Dominguez' Pelembe in July 2007 from Mozambican club Desportivo Maputo.

As Pelembe went on to become a superstar in the PSL, Chimomole packed up and returned home after just a season.
"I have myself to blame for what happened at SuperSport because I wasn't professional enough with my diet after getting the opportunity," says Chimomole, who is now the head coach at a Second Division club, Primeiro de Maio Maputo.
"You must understand that when I was at Desportivo, I had been earning the equivalent of about R2500.
"Then when I got to SuperSport United, my salary started at R16 000, plus I also received a signing-on fee.
"The money in South Africa was good for me.
"What became my failure was that I failed to eat right and was wrong to be forever eating burgers at McDonald's and KFC every day just because I could afford all the junk.
""I was just eating everything that came my way.
"This then led to me gaining weight, which is why Gavin Hunt ultimately said I was fat.
"My issue was that once I had gained weight, I struggled with injury and Gavin suggested that he will send me to Benoni Premier United, but the deal failed because I came back home.
"I came back home because another guy promised to take me to Europe, but it ultimately didn't happen.
"With regards to how I ended up at SuperSport, it was my agent Sergio Simao (now late) who took me to SuperSport after recommending me to Gavin.
"While I couldn't take care of diet at SuperSport, I was able to use what I earned to support my father and brother with their business initiatives.
"Later on, I used the money to also buy myself a house here in Maputo.
"The end of my time at SuperSport was stressful because Sergio was not feeling well in hospital, so I couldn't really sort this out the right way.
"I was meant to go on loan to Benoni and had possibilities of joining AmaZulu and Golden Arrows.
"In the end, I was back home here in Mozambique until the end of my career in 2018.
"After football, my life became tough, and I separated with my wife, but I have managed to get my life back in order now.
"Luckily, I remained with all four of my kids, so life goes on.

"Even though I didn't make good of my chance in South Africa because of wrong eating choices, I'm now teaching the boys that I coach how to eat like a professional and get rest.
"They can't do the things that I was doing," says Chimomole.
