Jorge Acuna has revealed the reasoning behind why he still has thoughts of returning to South Africa 15 years since he left after playing for Mamelodi Sundowns.
Acuna arrived at Sundowns from Chilean club Universidad de Chile in July 2007 and won the SAA Supa 8 and Nedbank Cup in his first season, managing 33 appearances in all competitions while featuring in both finals.

The following season (2008/09), his game count was down to 26 with a single goal, but he played in both the CAF Champions League and Confederation Cup, before moving home to Club Deportivo Nublense.
"I have coached San Felipe, a first-class team here in Chile, then later went to Santiago City, where I resigned because the conditions were not there to coach," Acuna tells KickOff.com.
"I'm a coach who likes good treatment of the ball, always looking for the opponent's goal in an organised way.
"A mix between micro cycle and tactical periodization.

"I want to have a career there in South Africa because I loved the country, and the people were good to me.
"They treated me very well there and I left some nice memories apart from the fact that I did very well at Sundowns.
"I like (Pep) Guardiola a lot.
"Beyond the players you may have, the idea is that the player understands what you want and is able to take it to the field.
"What to do when we have the ball and how we recover when we don't have it, it is essential to get the best out of each player for the good of the collective," says Acuna, who was swindled R2,7 million by his agent while at Sundowns after he scuppered his move to Blackburn Rovers.
