Bafana Bafana striker Lars Veldwijk, who was close to a deal with Mamelodi Sundowns, has been unveiled as the latest signing by CD Castellon.
The 32-year-old striker had been linked with a move to DStv Premiership champions Sundowns, before the Brazilians reportedly pulled out of the deal.

Lars joins from K League outfit Suwon FC where he enjoyed his most successful spell, and spent the most time as a professional footballer.
He registered 40 goals and 21 assists in 111 appearances for Suwon, the highest tally he his has contributed for all the teams he played for.
Lars also scored three goals in his final five appearances for the South Korean outfit.

The striker has over 150 goals in professional football and has represented as many as 14 football teams, including Nottingham Forest and Sparta Rotterdam.
Lars will play in the Primera Federación, the third tier of Spanish football where Castellon have 17 wins from 21 matches so far and have won all their previous five matches.
Meanwhile, Sundowns added four new faces to Chloorkop in Tashreeq Matthews, Thembinkosi Lorch, Zuko Mdunyelwa and Matias Esquivel.
