This time two years ago, Pitso Mosimane was still the head coach at Egyptian giants Al Ahly having just surrendered the CAF Champions League title to Wydad Casablanca hours earlier.
It was his first job in the Middle East and delivered a variety of silverware, including bronze medal finishes twice at the FIFA Club World Cup.

The relationship with Ahly then came to an end before mid-June 2022, before it had completed two years.
Three months later, the former Bafana Bafana coach landed at Al Ahli Jeddah while they were in the Saudi second tier.
It was a promotion task that Mosimane executed to perfection, lifting the league winners title through getting the Saudi giants back to the Pro League.
Once the promotion job was done, the authorities at Ahli gave Mosimane a cold shoulder and didn't exercise the option on his contract.
He immediately jumped into another job at Al-Wahda across the border in the United Arab Emirates' top league.
Considering just how often coaches are changed at the Abu Dhabi it was no surprise that Mosimane only lasted from July to November 2023.
Then, at the beginning of this year, he risked his reputation by taking up his first relegation-related job at Abha , which hasn't worked out after failing the test on the last day.
Back on the job market again, where does Mosimane go?

While priority is on staying in the Gulf Region where his wages will remain in the region of USD100 000 (approx. R1,8 million), back home Kaizer Chiefs is desperately in need of an experienced coach to turn the tables, although the latest is that they have opened talks with Nasreddine Nabi.
Whatever happens and wherever Mosimane goes after the expiry of his contract at Abha, it will be his fifth job in two years if it happens in June.
