The 24-year-old has yet to suffer defeat in all those matches, in which he has been used as a substitute in all but one.
For his efforts, Gilberto has been kept in the national team by head coach Pedro Goncalves for the two 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Libya and Cape Verde.
He was also involved for the last two camps during the successful AFCON qualifying campaign.
Gilberto found himself behind Monnapule Saleng, Relebohile Mofokeng, and Mohau Nkota at Pirates, forcing him into a return to familiar territory.
Meanwhile, unfortunate for Chiefs defender Miguel is that he still can't find his way back into the national team since his last appearance in November 2023.
