Sekhukhune United midfielder Kamohelo Mokotjo has revealed the reason for his potential move to Kaizer Chiefs collapsing while promising to repay the faith shown by Babina Noko.
Amakhosi reportedly turned down the opportunity to sign the experienced midfielder in January, following the departure of Njabulo Blom. A week later, Babina Noko snapped up the 32-year-old.
Sekhukhune are set to face Chiefs on Sunday and although Mokotjo would not be drawn in to divulging the full details around the failed deal, he did share some light on why the move never happened.
"The talks [with Chiefs] weren't fruitful, they were not fruitful at all and yes, I can't really say much about it," Mokojto told journalists.
"I really liked – I had a good feeling about Sekhukhune and how they approached me – they were very straight and they believed in the capabilities that I have and the person that I am.

"So it was an on-and off-the-pitch thing and so when that happens, you get a good feeling, and the only thing I can do now is [to] stay in the present and stay focused on creating more history for the club [Sekhukhune] and repaying the faith they've shown in me."
