Former Kaizer Chiefs defender spotted at Sekhukhune United

Former Kaizer Chiefs defender Philani Zulu has resurfaced at Sekhukhune United with a view of signing.

Zulu is currently in possession of his clearance since parted ways with AmaZulu at the end of last season.

The 30-year-old defender was linked with a move to Richards Bay early this season but a rumoured move to the Natal Rich Boyz failed to materialise.

Zulu is now hoping to get his career back with Sekhukhune United who has invited him for an assessment.

Sekhukhune coach Brandon Truter has confirmed the former Amakhosi defender is training with his team.

"He is training with us but at the moment there is no update," said Truter.

The Limpopo-based side has turned down the chance to sign former Orlando Pirates, Mthokozisi Dube who had been training with the team for a number of weeks.

Dube is now currently training with Royal AM in KwaZulu-Natal.
