The 30-year-old defender spent time with Golden Arrows after going to Durban on loan from Pirates last season.
According to a source within the club, Dube has impressed during training, and could seal a permanent switch this season.
"Dube is training with Sekhukhune United and has been doing well," said the source.
"Based on his experience and performance at training chances are high that could sign," he added.
Sekhukhune United are currently under the tutelage of Brandon Truter after replacing Kaitano Tembo last week.
