REVEALED | 'People write you off quickly in South Africa' - Impressed Sekhukhune confirm Vilakazi arrival

Sekhukhune United head coach Brandon Truter has confirmed the arrival of discarded midfielder Sibusiso Vilakazi ahead of a potential blockbuster transfer.

Vilakazi was recently dramatically released by The Rockets after falling out of favour with head coach Sead Ramovic amid a nasty war of words.

The 33-year-old multiple DStv Premiership winner made just 10 appearances for Galaxy this season.

Truter revealed that the former Mamelodi Sundowns star is currently being assessed with the club very interested in his signature.

"Yes, he is definitely here, but it would be probably for next season, we will see," Truter tells KickOff.

United already possess headline names such as Ali Badre Sangare, Daniel Cardoso, Edwin Gyimah, Philani Zulu, and Linda Mntambo in their squad.

"People write you off quickly in South Africa.

"Everybody deserves a second chance, and at that age, there must be still quality left in you.

"We invited him to train to see what he can do, and if he is still sharp, and he definitely can add value.

"The quality is still there, so if it's not going to happen now, it will happen for next season.

"I'm impressed, it's just that we have only 10 games to go for the season, so if we don't sign him now, surely, we will sign him for next season."

Truter also refused to be drawn in the war of words between Ramovic and former Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane.

"No, I don't want to get into that argument [laughs]."
