Talks happened, with the North Africans offering USD150 000 (approx. R2,7 million), but no deal was ultimately agreed on.
This website has been told that Sekhukhune were holding out for a higher amount for the 28-year-old, who they have been keen to offer a new three-year deal.
However, as it stands, no agreement has been reached and Ohizu will be within his rights to enter a pre-contract with another employer in the New Year.
His current deal at Sekhukhune runs up at the end of June.
There have been whispers of further North African interest from two Egypt clubs who are monitoring the situation, with other possibilities being explored in the Gulf Region.
The Egyptian club made contact via an agent based in Cairo before.
Ohizu is yet to get off the mark at Sekhukhune this season, where he has been troubled by a hand injury of late.
Last season, the former Jomo Cosmos striker scored nine goals and is now amongst the long-serving players at the club as he negotiates his fourth year.
