In news that will come as a surprising turn of events even by the standards of a typical South African transfer window period, Sekhukhune United are in advanced talks with ... you guessed right ... Lehlohonolo Seema to return as head coach, KickOff can exclusively confirm.
Discontentment ensuing inside the Sekhukhune camp in recent weeks is believed to have left the club on the brink of parting ways with new coach Peter Hyballa even before the honeymoon period is over.
Reasons for the German's abrupt exit are yet to be confirmed, but sources have alluded to a fallout with technical team members, and even some players.
KickOff can reveal that the Babina Noko hierarchy has initiated talks with Seema in a bid to convince him to return to his role as head coach, nearly just two months after having let him go in bizarre circumstances.

Seema had initially joined the club in November 2023, at a time when they were languishing in the relegation zone.
Under the guidance of the former Orlando Pirates centre-back, Sekhukhune rose from the ashes like the proverbial phoenix, leading to an incredible rise to a fourth-placed finish on the log table, thus securing continental football.
Seema took charge of 21 matches, winning eight, drawing nine and losing just four.
In mid-May however, he was bizarrely placed on what the club termed 'special leave' – a controversial decision that left many in shock. As if to rub salt to injury, the club gave the retired defender the boot come mid-June.
This website can also reveal that the 45-year-old surprisingly had no shortage of suitors in the light of these developments, unsurprising given his impressive record at the helm of both Polokwane City and Sekhukhune.

Among the offers on the table, and the most likely to have materialised, was one from Richards Bay FC, who have just recently parted ways with Vusimuzi Vilakazi.
For Seema, a return to Sekhukhune would make logical sense as it keeps him in the Gauteng province, closer to family, and he is expected to take over with immediate effect.
Attempts to get a comment from the coach's representative, Keke Mokoena, and Seema himself drew a blank at the time of publication, as were attempts to reach out to Sekhukhune United.
