Undefeated Truter wants improvement

Sekhukhune United head coach Brandon Truter has identified areas of improvement from his side, despite a four-game winning streak.

Babina Noko have bulldozed their way into the top five of the DStv Premiership log with crucial wins against Kaizer Chiefs, Marumo Gallants, Stellenbosch and most recently, a 1-0 victory over Swallows on Friday.

However, Truter believes his side could have managed the game better after going in front thanks to a Siphosakhe Ntiya-ntiya goal.

"This is where we need to improve: when taking the lead, we started doing thinks that are unlike us. We started kicking the ball, giving possession away cheaply and then the opponent got into the game and now all of the sudden we're under pressure," Truter said post-match.

"But it's another clean sheet for the defence and they also scored a goal tonight, so well-done to them.:

Truter, who took over the reigns from Kaitano Tembo, was roped in by Sekhukhune following his exit from AmaZulu. At the time, Sekhukhune were bottom of the DStv Premiership table, with a mid-table finish looking unlikely, let alone top four.

However, the former Usuthu and Swallows coach has not been defeated in five matches since his arrival. Truter will meet his test yet when Babina Noko take on log-leaders Mamelodi Sundowns at the Loftus Versfeld Stadium in Pretoria on Saturday.
