"Sekhukhune United Football Club wishes to announce that is has parted ways with Coach Kaitano Tembo with immediate effect," the club announced in a statement on Tuesday.

Club CEO Jonas Malatji added, "I wish to thank Coach Kaitano for his dedication and hard work whilst at the Club. Ever the professional that he is, and with his impeccable work ethic, the decision to part ways was an extremely difficult one.

"Sport in general and football in particular is result driven, and this remains true for the club that find itself in a very precarious position in the DStv Premiership."

Tembo, who previously served as the head coach of SuperSport United, managed to record just two wins during his spell with Babina Noko and was held to a 1-1 draw by TS Galaxy in his final match in charge.

"I wish to thank the players for their dedication, the support of the Technical Team and support Staff, and wish the Club and its supporters the very best," the 52-year-old said following his departure

Meanwhile, Sekhukhune United have revealed that the search for his replacement has now begun and that an official announcement would be made in due course.
