FALLOUT: What next for Sekhukhune after 'pre-season mess'

Following our report that Sekhukhune United have rehired head coach Lehlohonolo Seema, KickOff has now uncovered the club's final decision on Peter Hyballa, who had served in the same position for just over a month.

This publication reported on Tuesday that in a dramatic turn of events, Seema was set for a shock return to the Bedfordview-based outfit and that, following negotiations, he had agreed to a fresh three-year deal.

READDONE DEAL: Sekhukhune bring back Seema in shock U-turn!

The entire scenario leaves the question hanging: What happens to current head coach Hyballa, who arrived at the start of July and even conducted media duties on Tuesday morning ahead of Babina Noko's MTN8 quarterfinal clash against Cape Town City?

According to impeccable sources, the German's fate has been sealed, with a decision to part ways made.

An initial consideration was made for Hyballa to perhaps serve in a separate director role.

However, a final outcome was that the two parties will go their separate ways with the coach whose track record of just two wins and six defeats during Sekhukhune's pre-season matches has not helped his case.

Although the details remain somewhat sketchy, the shock exit has been generally attributed to an air of disgruntlement that had been brewing inside the Sekhukhune United camp in recent weeks.

Hyballa is said to have fallen out with several members of the technical team, and even players, in a situation described as 'chaotic' and has forced the club's management to act decisively.

It's not the first time the well-travelled coach finds himself in hot water and facing similar claims.

Hyballa's 12-year coaching career has been marked by short stints, allegations of frequent fallouts with players, technical team members and the powers that be.

Meanwhile, MacDonald Makhubedu is set to lead Babina Noko's on Saturday, while Seema is expected to fully take over the reins from next week.

Attempts to get comment from Sekhukhune were unsuccessful at the time of publication.
