Sibusiso Vilakazi opens up on his latest move

Sibusiso Vilakazi has opened up on his recent move to Sekhukhune United following a shock exit from TS Galaxy last month.

Vilakazi parted was with previous club TS Galaxy in less than ceremonious terms at the start of February and following several weeks spent training with Sekhukhune United, the 33-year-old signed on the dotted line.

'Vila' made his debut as Babina Noko defeated Motsepe Foundation Championship side Cape Town Spurs 2-0 on Friday night.

"This chapter at Sekhukhune United, I'm looking forward to it. It's a very exciting chapter and of course I'll grab the opportunity with both hands because I think, how they were able to open the door form me was heartwarming," Vilakazi told the club's media.

"Of course now, when given the opportunity, I'll try to use it to the best of my ability in terms of contributing to the team."

Prior to the win against Cape Town Spurs, Sekhukhune hammered Liver Brothers 6-0 in the round of 32 and now Truter's side is one of only eight left standing the competition.

"Expectation starts with me before anyone else, I Exocet myself to deliver because the team has already done well to get this far. My job is to just add more in terms of the success of this team to try and make history with certain things, accolades," Vilakazi added.

"I believe in this game of sport, you need to win trophies. Step by step, gradually I'll try to help the team reach those targets."

Sekhukhune turn their attention back to the DStv Premiership where they will meet Chippa United on Saturday.
