Truter identifies Pirates' weakness ahead of Nedbank Cup final

Sekhukhune United head coach Brandon Truter has revealed a factor he believes may be a weakness in the Orlando Pirates team ahead of the Nedbank Cup final.

Babina Noko are set to take the Buccaneers on Saturday at Loftus Versfeld Stadium in the final of the Nedbank Cup.

With 27 goals conceded, Truter's side boasts the fourth-tightest defence in the DStv Premiership, he comes against a Pirates' side that has scored more goals than any other team since the start of the year the most any other team.

The former AmaZulu head coach is not fazed and believes Pirates' habit of pushing numbers forward could be their demise.

"In terms of our block, we have reinforced it. It was a block of eight in our last time game against Pirates," Truter jokingly responded when asked if he would 'park the bus'.

But yes, we have some good players that can come out from a deep block, but in terms of them (Pirates) yes, they do commit a lot in terms of their attack. As much it is their strength, it can also be their weakness.

"With Pirates going to the game confident, as the public and myself assume, there will be scenes to exploit and we are hoping to exploit those spaces.

"whether it's from deep or we make it as uncomfortable for them on Saturday as we possibly can and try and turn the 50-50 challenges, in the small one versus one challenges in our favour. I'm sure we can manage that."

Kick-off is at 18:00.
