The reasons behind why Kamohelo Mokotjo has been slow off the mark in his return to playing football on the domestic scene have been detailed by his coach Brandon Truter.
Mokotjo has so far managed three appearances totalling 64 minutes since his return to domestic football at the beginning of the year after agreeing terms with Sekhukhune United.

Prior to signing for Sekhukhune, he had only played a single match in the PSL in the colours of SuperSport United when he played eight minutes against Santos in December 2008 before leaving for Europe.
"Kamo brings a new dimension to the team considering his long layoff and the injuries that he has had before his return," acknowledges Truter.

In joining Sekhukhune, Mokotjo – who turns 32 this week – had not played competitive football for over a year having left his last club – MLS club FC Cincinnati – towards the end of 2021.
"He did start against Gallants and after the game he did note that the intensity and the pace of the game along with the style of play was quicker.
"So, he has been involved in a number of training matches and has adapted well and hopefully we will see him sooner rather than later," says Truter.
Mokotjo last put in a full shift of 90 minutes almost two years ago in his first Major League Soccer match for Cincinnati against Nashville.
