Brighton Mhlongo has no problem with frequency of Soweto Derby

The Buccaneers host the Amakhosi in the Nedbank Cup Last 32 at the FNB Stadium on Saturday in what will be the fifth Soweto Derby of the 2015/16 season.

The two side have already met in the Carling Black Label Cup pre-season friendly, the two home and away Absa Premiership fixtures as well as the Telkom Knockout semi-final this season ahead of this weekend's clash.

Many may begin to feel overwhelmed by how frequent this fixture has popped up on the calendar over the last eight months, considerring the amount of emotion vested into this mammoth clash – not only by the players but the two teams' supporters too.

However, Mhlongo says the players will always look forward to the occassion not matter how many times they face their arch-rivals in a season, adding that it's not as taxing on them as one would expect.

"I doubt [it will have strain on the players], because even if they wake you up and say you have to play a derby, it's a different ball game," argues the Bucs shotstopper.

"Everything changes, whether you play them five times or seven times, it doesn't matter; what matters is getting the result on the day."

The clash is set to kick-off at 15h00 on Saturday afternoon, with tickets still available through Computicket and Shoprite Checkers stores.
