Orlando Pirates will play "host" to their arch-rivals at the FNB Stadium on Saturday afternoon as Muhsin Ertugral and Steve Komphela prepare for their first competitive clash as coaches of the two most successful Soweto clubs.
Amidst their battle for sepremacy, many a derby between the Buccaneers and Amakhosi have ended in stalemates in recent seasons, resulting in massive disappointment amongst their supporters.
Though he is aware that the main aim is to get the all-important three points, Khune has also heeded calls for a more entertaining encounter in their first competitive meeting this season.
"Three points is very important on the day, but enjoyment [is too]," said Mzansi's favourite football personality in the build-up to the blockbuster fixture.
"We have to entertain the people because we are entertainers in this industry. We are footballers but we have to entertain the people, [because] when they leave the stadium they must have something to talk about."
The Bafana Bafana shotstopper, who has enjoyed his fair share of Soweto derbies, adds that he is used to the electrifying atmosphere at the 2010 World Cup final venue and feels the nerves will not be a factor come 3pm on Saturday.
"For us at Kaizer Chiefs, you know we always play away from home but we feel at home [because] we always fill up the stadiums, whether in the country or outside," he added.
"We are just used to that kind of crowd and we go through that stage nerve-wrecking stage in every match we play, so at the end of the day you just have to manage it and play the match, and make the people happy."
