Tinkler, a former Bafana Bafana midfielder was speaking after Erasmus helped Pirates to a 3-1 win over their rivals Kaizer Chiefs on Saturday at FNB Stadium.
As indicated by KICK OFF senior writer Zola Doda in our ratings, Erasmus was unstoppable as he “was always on the lookout for passes and confused Chiefs defenders by dropping deep in midfield to collect the ball” and “the striker produced a moment of brilliance when he turned Mathoho inside-out before crossing for Gabuza to finish” for the third goal.
Tinkler says Erasmus, who gives a no-holds-barred interview in KICK OFF’s latest edition in stores, has a lot to offer the national team.
“One thing I can say about Kermit is that his fitness levels have definitely improved, which has obviously enhanced his performances and it bodes well for his future. I’m sure Kermit will get a call up one day for the national team because I think he obviously deserves it and he has the quality to be there,” Tinkler reckons.
