Sibongiseni Ngcobo cals for Kaizer Chiefs supporters to back the team through lose, win or draw

The 22-year-old right-back was promoted from the club's academy at the start of last season but was sent out on a six-month loan spell to Chippa United in January, though, he is yet to make his PSL debut.

Ngcobo, however, is well aware of the pressures of wearing the black and gold jersey as well as the expectations from Amakhosi faithful.

In the build-up to the much anticipated Soweto Derby clash against arch-rivals Orlando Pirates on Saturday, the lanky full-back has called upon supporters to back the team regardless of their results.

"What I can say is: supporters should support us whether we lose, draw or win," he told the club's official television segment KC TV.

"They shouldn't neglect us. The players have committed to working hard so they can win all games.

"We should all come together and be one united team – that is when we will be happy and see progress."

The current Absa Premiership log leaders, who have enjoyed a winning streak of four matches following a stuttering start to the campaign, will put their position on the line against a Pirates outfit yet to taste defeat under new coach Muhsin Ertugral.

Kick-off of the blockbuster fixture is set for 15h00 at the FNB Stadium.
