Both sides go in to the match with something to prove, and Komphela has identified two players who Amakhosi will need to stop if they hope to leave with the three points.
“I need to make reference to Thabo [Matlaba], who is a danger and threat along with everybody else,” he says. “You know that he will run the whole field; I don’t know what he eats but he never gets tired. Unbelievable lung capacity.
“The opportunity I had in working with him means I know that he is a threat and we just need to face it.
“Depending on how the coach shapes up, we have also got [Thamsanqa] Gabuza who is a threat.
“They have a mixture of players who are exciting and who can literally make your life difficult, but what we believe is that beyond football is building characters.
“At the end of all these challenges, at the end of the careers of all these captains, there has to be men coming out of this and the only way that we can build those men is to go through the footballing challenges that they become better human beings in society. These challenges are points of references.”
