Tshepo Gumede feels everyone must take responsibility at Orlando Pirates

Pirates have looked far from convincing so far this season, with their bottom half position on the standings a sign of their struggles to date.
Gumede – who has been enjoying more game time of late – feels fingers should be pointed towards everyone in the dressing instead of only the head coach Tinkler, who has come under increasing pressure and target of blame for the club’s inconsistent form.

“I would say when it comes to the pressure, we share the load,” says Gumede.

“It is not only the coach who is responsible; we are also on the field so the pressure and the heat goes to all of us. We try as much as possible that we share it and take responsibility and then we try to motivate each other and see where we can do things differently and how we can turn things around,” he notes.

As they continue to look for ways of climbing back up the table, Bucs have the Soweto derby to deal with this weekend – a game that they would not dare want to lose considering the kind of consequences it could have.
