Deon Hotto secures historic Adidas deal ahead of expected Orlando Pirates move

Namibia winger Deon Hotto has signed a historic deal with global sportswear manufacturer Adidas ahead of his expected transfer to Orlando Pirates.

Hotto, 28, has embarked on an inspiring journey towards the spotlight of African football and will join Pirates ahead of the 2020/21 season after developing into one of the leading performers in the league with Bidvest Wits.

The mercurial winger first arrived in South Africa in 2014 with Golden Arrows who lured him from African Stars in his homeland and despite his obvious talent, he struggled with his end product with little goals and assists to show.

However, the 2019 KickOff Player of the Season has flourished under the tutelage of Gavin Hunt with 15 goals and 21 assists in 74 games - a return more than double he achieved his first four seasons in the Absa Premiership.

And now as he enters the peak of his career, Hotto has now earned a massive endorsement that ties into the technical sponsorship of his next club.

"Attitude is everything in life. Your attitude determines your altitude and I've been blessed based on my attitude," he wrote on social media.

"Thanks to Adidas for believing in me and making me the first Namibian to ever become a formal ambassador of the brand [and to] more growth together."
