It's coming home? England rock premium fits ahead of WC 2022 campaign

The England national team completed an overly stunning 2022 FIFA World photoshoot wearing their new suits by their official premium tailor for the tournament, Marks and Spencer. Here's a look.

The story

In August, England confirmed a partnership deal with multinational retailer Marks and Spencer (MS) for the company to design and tailor formalwear for the senior men's and women's teams. After meeting up at St.George's Park on Monday, the team dressed up and completed a snazzy photoshoot.

The squad looked undeniably suave, something MS director Wes Taylor admitted to be mindful of when creating the team's multiple formal clothing collections.

"After meeting with the England Senior Men's Team and discussing their needs, it became apparent almost immediately that they wanted a collection which delivered on style and versatility, allowed for individual preferences but still came across as a cohesive look," said Taylor, according to England Football's official website.

"Importantly, they wanted something that better reflected who they really are. So rather than structured suit, shirt and tie 'uniform' we're used to seeing we've created a more extensive smart separates collection that places comfort, performance, and sustainability at its heart."

The England suit is said to be the cornerstone of the collection, as it is crafted from a premium quality woollen yarn that is woven and designed in Yorkshire, per Marksandspecer.com. Not only is it lightweight and breathable, the finished fabric has added comfort and stretch. Players can choose a suit of their choice, with the pieces available in both single and double-breasted cut.

The Three Lions get their tournament underway on 21 November against Iran, before two more more Group B clashes against USA and Wales.
