Sibusiso Vilakazi buys a stunning gift

Mamelodi Sundowns star Sibusiso Vilakazi bought himself a new pair of sneakers, which are inspired by an Amsterdam-based brand!

Buying yourself shoes can quite easily be considered to be a treat and in the same breath, it seems that Villa decided to spoil himself with the Nike Air Max 1 x Patta 'Aqua Noise'.

Because kicks matter

It is quite obvious that footwear is important to footballers, however, the shoes they wear off the field show how vibrant one is in their personal life. Sneakers are about personality - wouldn't you agree?

Air Max 1

According to Nike's official website, these R2 279 shoes are inspired by a collaboration with Patta, a Dutch streetwear and sneaker boutique in Amsterdam, Netherlands.

"Patta's latest work takes the iconic Air Max 1 and adds a twist to its OG execution, featuring the second iteration of the wave pattern on the mudguard," a description of the shoes on Nike's website reads.

"Patta branding hits the tongue label and sock liner while a mini Swoosh on the wavy mudguard adds a final touch to another storied collab."

Did you know?

In 2020, the 32-year-old changed his jersey number from 11 to 24 in honour of the legendary United States basketball player Kobe Bryant, according to Soccer Laduma. The forward explained that he was very devasted with his passing earlier that year, as he was his inspiration.

Your thoughts, please?

Do you think Villa deserves more game time?
