Stellenbosch have lost the services of long-serving defender Mogamad de Goede just days after the confirmation of Judas Moseamedi's departure.
While Moseamedi's departure was expected having seen his game time load shrink to just six appearances without a goal this season, De Goede is a surprise.

De Goede has featured in 10 of the 14 games played by the club this season.
He has been with Stellies since 2016 when the club bought the franchise of Vasco da Gama where he played for two years after coming in from the amateur ranks.
Word reaching this website is that his current deal with Stellies was due to run up at the end of the season and with negotiations for a new deal stagnating he took up the option of heading to Maritzburg United.
The Team of Choice have offered him an improved deal and having cut ties with Stellies will official complete his transfer in the New Year.
Maritzburg' new head coach Fadlu Davids was influential in the acquisition of De Goede who is also from Cape Town.
De Goede will arrive at Maritzburg along with Wayde Jooste and Kgotso Moleko.

Jooste has been without a club since leaving Orlando Pirates in June while Moleko was last with AmaZulu.
Maritzburg have already released Given Mashikinya, Lucky Baloyi, Lelethu Skelem, Isaac Masia, Zukile Kewuti, Tshidiso Monamodi, and Thato Lesenyeho.
