Stellenbosch reach agreement for Masuluke

DStv Premiership club Stellenbosch FC have reached an agreement with Baroka FC for their goalkeeper Oscarine Masuluke.

Masuluke has decided to swop Motsepe Foundation Championship club Baroka for DStv Premiership football.

Masuluke played 22 times in all competitions for the Limpopo club in the 2022/23 season.

His departure will be a huge blow for Bakgaga who are looking to bounce back to the top tier next season.

Apparently, he will be joining Stellenbosch on a three-year deal.

The Cape Town-based club currently have Sage Stephens, Lee Langeveldt, injured Keegan Pool and Reid Bombay as their goalkeepers.

Masuluke's arrival will bring depth and much-needed competition to the goalkeeping department.

The Stellies finished in position 6 on the Premiership log table this campaign with 40 points gathered in 10 matches.

They also had a brilliant run in the Nedbank Cup and only lost to Sekhukhune United in the semi-finals.

"Yes, Stellenbosch is interested in Masuluke," Baroka chairman Khurishi Mphahlele tells KickOff.

"His contract with us is remaining for two years. We've reached an agreement, all that is left now is for them to pay.

"After that, we will give them the papers."
