The late George Chigova's memorial service was held at the AFC Church in Kempton Park with longtime close friend Khama Billiat on stage to give a touching tribute.
Chigova died on November 15 at his residence in the northern suburbs of Johannesburg just a few months after it was confirmed that his career was hanging in doubt after being diagnosed with a heart ailment.

According to SuperSport, Chigova was now out of contract but remained training with the club.
He was 32.
Chigova's body is now due to be flown to Harare on Wednesday with his burial scheduled for his rural home and birthplace in Chivhu.
'Jojola' is survived by his wife and three kids.
A teary Billiat disclosed how he came to meet Chigova when they were teenagers with his intention having been to learn isiNdebele from Chigova who spent the early years of his life in How Mine, near Bulawayo before moving to Harare.
Billiat played with Chigova at Aces Youth Academy through to the junior national teams and the Warriors.
They went on to form a friendship that lasted all the way till Chigova's death and resided in the same area in Johannesburg.
Chigova played in South Africa since July 2014 after moving from Zimbabwean club Dynamos spending a season as second choice to Ronwen Williams before moving to Polokwane City.
Up north, he spent five years playing as the regular and totalling 139 appearances.
At the start of the 2020/21 season, the big keeper returned to SuperSport continuing as back up and was named in the match day squad in the final league match of the 2022/23 season.

SuperSport boss Stan Matthews spoke of how Chigova came to push Williams to be in the Bafana squad.
Other football speakers included Onsimor Bhasera, Ronald Pfumbidzai, Tapuwa Kapini, and Steve Kapeluschnik while Ian Gorowa, Eddie Dinha, and Evans Rusike were also in attendance along with the SuperSport United squad.
