'It's just ridiculous!' - Gavin Hunt hits out at Morgan Mammila

SuperSport United head coach Gavin Hunt has seemingly hit out at outspoken Chippa United coach Morgan Mammila following several controversial comments made by the Chilli Boys mentor.

Asked if he felt his job was in jeopardy following a winless run of five matches, Mammila questioned why 'the white guy'- presumably Orlando Pirates' Jose Riverio - had not been quizzed the same after three consecutive losses for the Buccaneers.

"Look at my stats, I've won four, drawn two, I've lost three. Any other coach in the PSL would stay. How many teams did the white guy lose to? Three games in row! Did you ask him this question? The answer is no," Mammila said.

Speaking to journalists during Matsatsantsa's Media Open Day on Friday, Hunt appeared to take a dig at the Chippa United's coach over the comments.

"I don't think this [media] is the right platform to comment about coaches. We've got a guy who's making all the comments at the moment. You know who I'm talking about. He's talking, maybe he's looking for a job, I think. You can't be commenting about everything. It's just ridiculous," hunt said.

"You don't talk about that [other coaches]. There's a professional code of conduct that you should have to talk about. Then when you see the person you can tell them. That's where these conversations take place, not in the media."

SuperSport are putting in their final preparations for a titanic clash against neighbours Mamelodi Sundowns on Monday evening.

Hunt will draw motivation in having already beaten The Brazilians this season, but Rulani's Sundowns is on a incredible run of 10 wins in their last 10 matches.

The match is scheduled to kick off on 18:00.
