SuperSport United CEO Stan Matthews has hit out at the club's players following shock defeat to Motsepe ABC outfit Dondol Stars.
Matsatsantsa were sent crashing out of the Nedbank Cup through a 2-1 loss at the hands of Dondol Stars in the Last 232 round fixture of this year's Nedbank Cup and SuperSport United CEO Stan Matthews has issued a scathing analysis on the performance.
Matthews insisted that although he would not judge the team from a single fixture, he did expect immediate improvement from the club's players.
"The fringe players either took it too lightly or didn't show enough desire to stay at the club, so they've got eleven more games to change that," Matthews told Marawa Sports Worldwide.
"The new players that have come in also have to show that they have been brought in for a purpose and not just to participate and just cruise along in the football club, we're not going to tolerate that."
"So for us, the new guys need to deliver and the guys that want to stay at the club need to show that they want to stay at the club and that question will be answered over the next eleven games."

SuperSport turn their attention back to the DStv Premiership where they sit on second position with nine wins from 19 games and have two games in hand over log-leaders Mamelodi Sundowns
Although Hunt has conceded that the league title is very likely heading to Chloorkop, a spot in the next year' CAF Champions League remains up for grabs and Matsatsantsa will have to be consistent to keep their seal their place.
With only four points separating Matsatsantsa from fifth-placed Kaizer Chiefs, a place in the top for is a still for the taking.
