SuperSport make decision on Grobler

SuperSport United have finally decided on veteran striker Bradley Grobler.

Grobler's contract with the club is left with less than three months.

Grobler whom this season reached a 100-goal mark has always given United first preference in negotiations.

According to sources Grobler has been offered a one-year deal by the club.

He has now spent 10 years at the club he joined in 2013 from Ajax Cape Town.

In the 23 matches he has featured in this season Grobler has scored nine times and made one assist.

"Bradley, I think he is going to sign a new contract with SuperSport," A source revealed to KickOff.

"Ja they've been talking about a new contract, and they will give him one year -one year.

"He won't significantly longer than a year there. With his age now and all the operations he's had, every year now is good for him."

Though he couldn't confirm the length of the new contract, Amatsatsantsa coach Gavin Hunt confirmed the 35-year-old will be staying for another season.

"No, I'm happy, he is signing. I'm happy that he is staying, and he deserves it." Hunt says.

"I did recommend that he be signed. Though I'm not sure of the actual details."

The Tshwane club is currently tied on 40 points with 2nd and 4th-positioned Soweto giants Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs.
