SuperSport midfielder makes big call on future

Midfielder Siphesihle Ndlovu has made a call on his future as his current deal with SuperSport United is set to expire at the end of June.

Ndlovu left the Buccaneers in September last year in a bid to revive his career after an underwhelming spell at Mayfair.

The 2018 PSL Young Footballer of the Year then joined Matsatsantsa on a one-year deal and has been in sensational form this season, collecting three Man of the Match awards since his arrival.

The 26-year-old has also grown to be one of Hunt's most reliable players, featuring 21 times for the Pretoria-based side.

With his deal coming to an end in June, Ndlovu has expressed his desire to extend his stay with Matsatsantsa.

"Honestly, I'd like to stay, I'd like to continue working with him [Hunt] and working with the club," Ndlovu told KickOff.

I'm hoping for a greater season because I never started the season. I only joined the season in the middle of it.

"When you join in the middle of the season, everyone has played some games because playing games is different to training. So when you come, you need to adapt and get to their level quickly.

That also comes within you, pushing yourself. It won't come from the coach, it won't come from the anyone else but you.

"But I was very happy that I joined at that time and then I had another pre-season [post-World Cup] so it game me a bit of time."

SuperSport are in pole position to finish in second place and seal a spot in next season's Champions League. Standing between them are Orlando Pirates who are level on points and only behind on goal difference.

Matsatsantsa will have a chance to secure the spot in their final match of the DStv Premiership season when they take on Sekhukhune United at the Peter Mokaba Stadium on Saturday.

Kick-off is at 15:00.
