SuperSport United fans might have to wait a bit longer to see their new signing, Samir Nurkovic, in their famous blue and white colours.
News broke on Friday that the top Serbian striker has completed his move to the Gavin Hunt-coached club following Bradley Grobler's long-term injury, which has left them very thin up front.

But now, due to the Pretoria club's foreign quota being already full, the 32-year-old Serbian might need to wait until January to make his debut while the management tries to find ways to deal with the foreign quota dilemma.
The foreign players SuperSport currently have on their books include Chad defensive-midfielder Eric Mbangossoum, Zambian right-winger Ghampani Lungu, and Zambian striker Terrence Dzvukamanja, amongst others.
KickOff understands the Pretoria club is pushing for Nurkovic to make his debut against former club Kaizer Chiefs at Peter Mokaba Stadium on Saturday 26 October 2026.

According to sources, to open a foreign spot for Nurkovic, the club is planning to register the 26-year-old Zambian right-winger as a local.
Lungu arrived in South Africa to join SuperSport United from Zambian giants Power Dynamos in 2018.
This is his sixth season in the Premier Soccer League and therefore qualifies to be registered as a local.
"SuperSport United's foreign quota is full, so Nurkovic might only be registered in January," sources tells KickOff.
"At the moment, he is not even training with their team, but he will start anytime from this week I suppose, and the plan is to register Zambian Ghampani Lungu as a local."
Last season Nurkovic scored 10 goals for Premier Soccer League strugglers TS Galaxy FC.
