SuperSport United wingback Lyle Lakay has commented on the pending arrival of striker Samir Nurkovic at the Tshwane-based outfit.
KickOff broke the story that the Serbian hitman has reached an agreement with SuperSport to join the club after his shock exit from TS Galaxy.

Nurkovic will come as a welcome addition to the roster of the Gavin Hunt-led side, particularly as the club faces somewhat of a striker crisis, with Bradley Grobler sidelined with a serious injury, while Etiosa Ighodaro was recalled by parent club Mamelodi Sundowns, who have since loaned him out to AmaZulu FC.
Speaking to media at the launch of the Carling Knockout last week, Lakay was reluctant to confirm the move as the club had not made a formal announcement but expressed praise for the former Kaizer Chiefs marksman.
"There are always rumours [about player transfers]. I've also read about the rumours in the newspapers," Lakay said.
"With Nurkovic, he has proven himself in the country. He is a top striker and a top footballer. So, if we do get him, it will be a good signing for the team.
"At the end of the day, it comes down to the team signing him. Like I said, I'm in the dark as everyone.
"There are rumours, but we don't know if he's coming or not, but at the same time, as players who are there, we have to deliver," he added.
