Dzvukamanja surprise absence explained

SuperSport United coach Gavin Hunt has explained the surprise absence of striker Terrence Dzvukamanja during his side's 2-1 win over Moroka Swallows.

Matsatsantsa ended a run of five matches without a win when they came from behind to defeat the Dube Birds 2-1 at Dobsonville Stadium thanks to goals from Tenda Matodzi and Etiosa Ighodaro after Gabadnho Mhango's opener.

Much to the surprise of supporters SuperSport were without one of their key players Dzvukamanja who has already found the back of the net four times this season in 18 appearances.

Speaking at the post-match press conference, Hunt revealed that the Zimbabwean striker had suffered a knock earlier in the week during their CAF Confederations Cup clash against Al Hilal Benghazi.

"Terrence got a hell of a knock in Liberia," Hunt said.

"It was a big blow because he gives me so many options, he can play wide as well for us you know?

"So we are lacking, well, we don't have options. When we played Mamelodi Sundowns we had eight DDC players on the bench against Sundowns."
