Veteran goalkeeper Daniel Akpeyi's arrival at Swallows has been influenced by the order of events in the goalkeeping department at the club this season.
Following the expiry of his contract at Kaizer Chiefs at the end of June, Akpeyi has found himself club hunting for the past two months.
Akpeyi's proposed move to Sekhukhune United in July failed to materialise after an agreement couldn't be reached on personal terms with Babina Noko as he was demanding a six-figure salary.

The Nigerian has now resurfaced at Swallows FC where he is hoping to earn a deal at the club who has had a difficult start to the season with 14 goals conceded – the worst defensive record in the league.
Thakasani Mbanjwa has been the preferred choice with Sanele Tshabalala providing back-up.
Mbanjwa has kept a single clean sheet from eight games with concerns raised about some of the 14 goals that he has conceded.
This has been the 26-year-old keeper's first season playing as a regular in the PSL.
He joined from University of Pretoria in July.
His deputy – Tshabalala – is also thin on top-flight experience.
Last season's first-choice keeper Jody February returned to Mamelodi Sundowns while Thela Thela (formerly Ngobeni) is now doubling up as the goalkeeper coach.
This situation has meant the club is considering Akpeyi, who is able to play as a non-foreigner having already acquired South African permanent residency.
The Nigerian keeper spent the past three-and-a-half years at Chiefs playing the most minutes of all keepers at the club since joining from Chippa United.
While talk has suggested that Akpeyi is training to keep fit the situation at Swallows could force the club to consider bringing him on board on a short-term deal.
The 36-year-old is already settled with his family in Johannesburg.
