Nigerian goalkeeper Daniel Akpeyi has been sensationally left in limbo after a purported move to Swallows FC is being blocked by an ongoing transfer ban.
Akpeyi has been without a club since the expiry of his contact at Chiefs in June and continues his search for a new destination after previously being linked to fellow DStv Premiership side Sekhukhune United.

The Nigerian keeper has trained with Swallows for a while in the hope of providing solutions to the club's leaky goalkeeping department.
Swallows have conceded 17 goals from 12 games this season leaving them with one of the worst defensive records in the league.
This website has now been told that Akpeyi is now targeting the January transfer window, but his situation is aided by that he is playing a non-foreigner.
The 36-year-old last played a competitive match in December last year against Maritzburg United while at Chiefs.
At Swallows, he will not be signed since the club remains banned from making transfers by FIFA for failure to adhere to a ruling made by the football body in June.
The Birds have a pending settlement payment to Serbian goalkeeper Obren Cuckovic and Slovenia midfielder Vladimir Mandic which they agreed to in September.
Cuckovic has informed this website that he is still yet to receive his owed compensation leaving the existing FIFA ban actively in place.
The non-payment of the two players emanates from the previous Moroka Swallows entity which was liquidated before the rise of Swallows FC born from the purchased status of former side Maccabi FC.
