KickOff has learned that Moroka Swallows may still be in existence and flying under the radar somewhere in the lower divisions of South African football.
According to sources, Swallows might be gearing up for a comeback to professional football in the near future, with previous owners reportedly holding shares in at least two clubs within the lower divisions.

"A Moroka Swallows development team was established towards the end of 2023, featuring U17 and U19 boys. Former Swallows official Sipho Xulu is overseeing it," a source revealed, speaking to this publication.
"It appears this was a well-planned initiative. When news broke that Swallows was up for sale, the Swallows development team was already playing its fixtures in the Eastern Local Football Association in Germiston.
"Even though they prefer to be recognized as a development project and a standalone entity, they have completed the whole season, winning the league and two cup competitions. They are currently participating in the Discovery Tournament.
"However, it's clear that their main aim is to develop players for Moroka Swallows, as they are using Moroka Swallows jerseys," added the source.
