In this edition of Supporters Forum, KickOff catches up with Moroka Swallows's die-hard supporter Foxy Phokojoe about his long-standing affair with The Birds.
He pleads with the club's management to make wholesale changes to the current squad as soon as the 2023/24 Premier Soccer League season finishes.
Name of supporter?
"Foxy Phokojoe. I'm currently dealing with labor issues in Education. I'm originally from Naledi, but now I'm in Centurion."
Club supported?
"None. I have never supported any other club besides Moroka Swallows before.
"What attracted me to Swallows was the style of play, because I'm one of those who supported football in general during the days of Calvin Petersen, Noel Cousins and Sipho Sikhonde."
How long supported?
"Since 1989."
Are you happy with the bosses?
"In terms of how the team is doing now, I wouldn't say I'm happy, but when it comes to where they took us from, I'm very much happy.
"I mean, we need to live within our means, we buy players we can't afford.
"Look at the KZN clubs, they buy unknown players, but those players are doing very well. But with us, it's a different story because we want big-name players and we can't pay their salaries.
"And an unhappy employee will never deliver for you."

Are you happy with the coach?
"We are left with maybe less than 10 games, so it would be unfair to bring somebody new right now.
"Musa Nyatama was involved in putting together the current squad, I believe he should continue at least until the end of the current season, knowing very well he is experienced."
Are you happy with the players?
"If they had a pre-season, I'd be very much happy. Some of the acquisitions are quality.
"The only problem is, you can't throw in a 19-year-old in the deep end when you are desperate for points. It could have been better if they started the pre-season with the team."
Who do you want them to sign?
"We need a compete overall. As much as we've been doing that for the last three seasons, to be honest we don't have a team that can compete at the highest level."

Your message to the team?
"We are with them, we support them even when chips are down. We just hope they make us proud and play for the badge."
